Finding a true connection. Moana is the new name for Aotearoa Fisheries, a proud, highly successful producer and exporter of New Zealand seafood. Their true story needed to be told with reverence and authenticity.
The magic that makes Moana had not previously been captured, opening up the need to present a rich story of provenance, nature and generations of fishing life in a genuine way.
The story of Moana is anchored by three key principles: our place – the pristine traditional fishing grounds, our product – carefully harvested and brought with lightness of touch and our people – entrusted as proud guardians.
